I have always been critical of holdouts, but I do understand going after the guaranteed money because of the injury issues in the NFL. If his ultimate goal is to get some guarantee money now and get paid now for being the great player he is than I give him some slack within reason. He deserves to be paid among the best players in the NFL. I believe he to be a top 5 NFL player.
I am a little more open to holdouts than I use to be seeing how these players have such a short window, but where it ends is when they hold out just to hold out which is why I never forgave Orlando Pace. He held out NOT for Guarantee Money because he kept signing the 1 year franchise salary over and over. He held out just because he didn't want to have to go through the work of training camp and left his teammates hanging high and dry.
