IMO, we have total idiots running the FO when it comes to making decisions on players.
Donald and his agent may very well believe that the Rams will either trade him or pay him whatever he wants. The only way Donald loses is if the Rams hold onto him and fine him. That's what I would do but I doubt Demoff and Snead are capable of that. These bungling idiots have the track record to prove they don't know what they are doing.
What Donald is making abundantly clear is that he is just fine not playing for the Rams organization and probably prefers to play somewhere else.
Only if Demoff and Snead cave to AD's demands are they stupid, max.
One shouldn't cave when one holds all the cards, and the Rams hold all the cards. How is that stupid?
AD is getting some poor advice from his historically pugnacious agents. But he's only stupid if he persists in continuing in their losing strategy.
I hope the Rams call this bluff.
As an aside, the Rams have a big stake in avoiding the setting of a terrible precedent here. They can ill afford to be seen as being bulldozed by a player and his agents in mid-contract. Would open the door for every other player to attempt the same. Chaos would ensue. Contracts would no longer be contracts.
Uh uh. I don't see that happening.
And the court of public opinion battle? I think AD will lose that, too, given that the Rams reportedly have a huge offer on the table just waiting for AD's signature.
