I can remember a time when we talked about getting a good read of the Rams by mid-season, of any given season. Ah to have those days back again.
Now... it's 'years' until we 'start' to know if "so and so" is going to work out.
I'm coming around to the belief that the best player to draft is not the BPA, or the player that best fits a desperate 'need'.. but rather a player who is "NFL Ready". Whatever that is... I'm not even sure of that anymore.
Bruce Arians was on NFL Live the other day and was talking about his last few drafts being criticized for not producing stars in the early rounds. He said that very few players these days coming out of these college offenses are NFL ready and that teams now they have to be patient but the fans and media don't realize that stuff so his message was "BE PATIENT" it's taking longer these days for these kids to adjust to the pro style game. Drafting players these days is much more about projecting. He said it's a different era these days.
This is why I'm ecstatic we now have a coach like McVay, who by all accounts is a great teacher. You can already tell that Goff is loving his style and scheme.
I think you are going to be shocked by how different Goff is going to look this year my friend.
