What part of that did Snead and Fisher NOT understand going in? I mean almost as soon as they drafted him (#! OVERALL!) they announced he would not start because he wasn't ready.
Why would a team so desperate for a QB use all that capitol on a guy this green?????
They were looking long term, not just 2016.... Goff obviously represented what they wanted in a franchise QB and weren't worried about how he would play in 2016, they're looking further ahead then the here and now. Snead has alway said he looks at things through a telescope rather then a microscope. It makes sense. Unfortunately for Fisher he didn't make it past 2016(fortunately for Goff and us fans that he didn't )
We'll soon find out if it was the right decision... I have a feeling things will workout for us in the end. There was a reason Goff was the top rated QB by most coming out of the draft... may not have had the higher floor, but he had the highest ceiling.
I think McVay is the perfect coach to get Goff to his ceiling.
Can't wait to see how it unfolds in the next year or two!!!
