McVay faces pretty much what every new HC faces?

Yep.

cool smiley

To name yet another example. By 99, in his third year, Vermeil was starting 2 players on offense who were on the team before he got there in 97.

Do you think that in McVay's 3rd year there will be only 2 players on offense who were there before 2017?

If so, then McVay's situation is no different from many new head coaches, my 2 examples Vermeil and Carroll included.

If not...if there's more than 1 or 2 left...then his situation in some respects is better than many 1st time head coaches.
