Decker is due to earn $14.75 million over the last two years of his contract. In a trade, the receiving team assumes the salary which is just too much for us, probably for every other team too. I would expect that the Jets find no willing trade partners and release Decker, then he will have many suitors for a reduced price, short term deal.

Decker was injured last year, but prior to that he missed only two games in the five years prior to 2016. He might get hurt often, but he plays through it and is productive.
