And yes I admit that alone could make the argument to go after Decker. But, I say let's give these kids some serious reps, let them get coached by a staff that knows how to run a modern NFL offense, and I bet we have a few diamonds in the rough that haven't even been identified yet.
Decker, while a very good player, is injury-prone and expensive. Our guys need all the reps they can get.
True that Decker missed most of the 2016 season with a shoulder injury, but in the five seasons prior to 2016, he missed only two games. He missed a few more starts but played through injuries.
