Top & bottom 5 Eagles thus far thru OTA's
These OTA practices have been a mixed-bag for second-year quarterback Carson Wentz, his highs not high enough to put him on the standout list, and his lows haven't been quite bad enough to sound any alarms -- yet.
First, the good: Wentz's throwing motion and delivery appear to have both shortened, and quickened throughout the course of the offseason. Likewise, Wentz's pocket-presence seems to be improved from his relative skittishness in the pocket down the stretch last season. At times, his arm also seems to be stronger on deep-ball passes from where he was one year ago.
However, it hasn't been all good for Wentz.
In the past two practices Wentz has thrown three interceptions, his accuracy has been erratic as illustrated by overthrowing receivers at times, and dramatically under throwing them at others.
It's only early June, and we haven't even reached the Eagles' mandatory minicamp yet, but it seems Wentz remains every much a work-in-progress both as a second-year quarterback and a signal caller getting acclimated with an overhauled receiving corps.
