I think McVay & friends will scheme TA open and use him in motion MUCH more to get him open(more like in 2015?). TA is an electric player and can score from anywhere. He'd be an All-Pro on the Pats....but it'll be Cooks there now.
I like Tavon for the same reasons you do.
BUT. McVay might not use him the way you describe...the more like 2015 way. He may actually want him to be DeSean West and more of a pure receiver. AND if Tavon can't do that (my guess: he can't) then McVay may be happy to move on.
Now if it DOES play out like that, it could also turn out that Tavon adapts. If so I will just be surprised and be glad I was wrong. But I basically agree with you....the way to use Tavon is like in 2015, when he was more of a combined yards/hybrid weapon guy.
