I see Austin a little bit a victim of a bad offensive coaching staff that couldn't figure out how to get him the ball in space.
For Robinson, I think he is part of the reason the coaching staff produced this predictable, easy to read, offense. They had to keep it simple and couldn't do much other than a handful of basic plays, because he couldn't be trusted.
Cause and Effect. In Robinson's case, he compounded the problems of a bad coaching staff on offense.
Cause and Effect. In Austin's case, the offense coaching never put him in position to catch the ball in space.
While I think most likely Austin is nothing more than a good gadget player. (A nice guy to have on the team, but not worth the big money)
I think you have to see what the new coaching staff can do with him.
