There is just no way to elevate this O very far with a bunch of rookies. Rookies are always seen as the next group of messiahs and they never are.
Maybe in 2018. But Goff also has a long way to go, even beginning with another entire offensive system. His 1000 yard WR is gone. As is Mr. Five Yards and Turnaround Quick. As is Kendricks.
So lots of new faces all around in every capacity.
It takes time, 43. And that is not meant to be a downer statement; it's just true.
I respect your opinion(s), Rock.
But I'm sticking with my 10-6 until it's proven to be impossible.
McVay and this new staff are light years ahead of Fisher on O.
Major needs were filled at WR and TE via FA and draft.
I like Kromer's chances to "fix" our OL.
Consequently, I also expect a resurgence from Gurley and expect Goff to become at least an average QB with these new coaches and weapons.
Wade is Wade. I see a top D from him. Maybe top 5.
More excellence from ST behind Fassel.
I think Seahawks and Cards are declining and Niners are still way behind and without a real QB.
TBH, it's possible that we might be able to win this division if we catch a few breaks here and there.
Add all that up and yeah, I can see 10-6.
