While I can't say that I would have thought of that, there is logic.
For one thing: keeping Robinson at OT allows him to more easily assume LT duties should our new LT go down for any length of time.
For another: it may be that by shifting Hav's to OG, it gives us better pass blocking at that position.
I'll bet we're going to be a heavily pass oriented offense despite what McVay might ever say. Perhaps 35 attempts on average per game.
That would leave Whitworth and Saffold on the left side. So what we wind up with is essentially an entire Oline, except for Center, who are OTs and have the characteristics (theoretically) of being better pass blockers.
Of course how all this turns out on the field is another issue.
We'll see.
But I have no issue with a new staff looking at film and saying that in their view and in their scheme such and such a player fits better in this position than that position. And in fact, if they can't play the position that they want them too, they may have to find someone else to do it.
