I realize he only started about a half season and that clearly also speaks to the ability of Pro Bowl RB McCoy (one of the most elusive prep/collegiate RBs I've ever seen). And of course there were other members of the OL.
BUF averaged 164.4 rushing yards per game and 5.3 yards per carry (both stats #1), a full 85.7 rushing yards per game and 2 yards per carry better than second to last LA's heinous 78.3 yards per game and 3.3 per carry (both #31). No other team was above either 150 rushing yards per game or 5 yards per carry, the next highest team was DAL (.2 yard shy of 150 per game) and, surprisingly CLE (4.9 per carry - which goes to show this stat isn't always correlated with winning).
Less than a quarter of the teams in the league even came within 50 rushing yards per game of BUF (besides DAL, TEN, SF, ATL, OAK, NE & HOU), and less than a third within a yard of BUF's per carry average (CLE, DAL, TEN, ATL, CHI, WAS, GB, MIA, OAK & SF).
