Assertive...........Because he's not afraid to put it in to action. He's not afraid to say and do what he believes in. It's not some phony speech, just lip service. He's genuine with his thoughts and treats people with respect.
To be fair he has a winning interview presence. He says the right things.
And that tells us nothing about his abilities as a head coach.
Interviews win fans, not games.
And this is from someone who is optimistic about McVay. Truth is though all I am getting from the people that like him so far is that...people like him so far.
There's many a test out there to be hurdled yet on the way to being a first-rate head coach.
And again, so far, I have no problem with him. I have an open mind and really am decently optimistic.
