Yes, it changes things but not fundamentally. I think it’s pretty dumb to sign him for $16.7 mil. Hopefully they can use it as leverage to negotiate a long term contract. Problem is, players don’t like it and usually resist negotiating after being tagged twice. I’m assuming he signs the tender and plays at an exorbitant salary making this his last year as a Ram.
I would have rather seen them throw good money at A.J. Bouye or Prince Amukamara. Even Alterraun Verner at about $7.5 Mil. would have been better IMO.
As for how it changes my plans. Same plan but scratch Nick Perry and Duron Harmon off of the shopping list. IOW, cancel the dessert.
