ok. i hear you. but to me this offense was so bad its hard to figure out what was wrong as an outsider. moreover, while i generally dislike the eyeball test, watching the games more often than not i just dont think he had anywhere to run.
that being said, the offensive line was at least passable in 2015. so are they that bad? personally i dont think so. thats makes me come back to scheme. and hearing some of the comments after the season confirmed it to me. there was some sort of disconnect on the offensive side of the ball. moreover, think about it. the decline in gurly coincided pretty closely with the rise of boras. coincidence?

I see where you're coming from but I, right or wrong, usually dismiss the HS and college stuff. Well, not dismiss but assume that most guys who get to the NFL can say the same thing so it's not really a consideration for me.
So, Gurley scares me because after that first 4 games, he's had over a year's worth of very pedestrian production. I acknowledge that the circumstances weren't ideal but neither were they when he had his good games. Did they get that much worse to make him pretty much a non-factor? I'm really not sure.
But, we all hope that a new scheme, new outlook, new attitude and new coaches will fix it all. I certainly wouldn't complain if Gurley started running like that rookie they had in Washington this year.
At this point, hot stove football is more fun than the actual games.
