I see where you're coming from but I, right or wrong, usually dismiss the HS and college stuff. Well, not dismiss but assume that most guys who get to the NFL can say the same thing so it's not really a consideration for me.
So, Gurley scares me because after that first 4 games, he's had over a year's worth of very pedestrian production. I acknowledge that the circumstances weren't ideal but neither were they when he had his good games. Did they get that much worse to make him pretty much a non-factor? I'm really not sure.
But, we all hope that a new scheme, new outlook, new attitude and new coaches will fix it all. I certainly wouldn't complain if Gurley started running like that rookie they had in Washington this year.
At this point, hot stove football is more fun than the actual games.
