For the Chargers/Spanos, I don't get it. Yes, things are less than desirable in SD. I get that. But you are going to pay $650M in relocation fees and play in a stadium you don't own (and pay rent to someone you really don't care for) with really no fan base to support the team in LA. And play a year or so in SD when you have announced you are leaving. Great plan!
The only thing that makes any sense is that they wanted to block the Raiders from moving there. LA would probably embrace the Raiders (maybe even over the Rams). I think they *would* draw in LA.
The Chargers? Probably not so much...
