Re: popular coach-blame theories

I lose no sleep when someone agrees with me or not.... Bottom Line... Chris Weinke, Rob Boras, Jeff Fisher will not have their respected job titles for any NFL team in 2017. That is reality based on their coaching value...... not coach-blame popular opinions...

But see, that's not a bottom line. That is, to me, an opinion based on incomplete info.

When Fisher has had true starting caliber qbs (outside of Young) they have developed. In terms of Weinke, people honestly really have no idea one way or another how good he is---anything they offer up is just sheer conjecture.

Mannion showed tremendous strides from 2015 to 2016, based just on what we saw.

Goff was far from ready early in 2016 and has clearly improved in a lot of respects, although he is still a rookie.

You do know that virtually no qbs have made the transition from college Air Raid offenses to NFL pro style offenses. There is just so much to learn. Therefore any rough patches he has along the way are to be expected.

So I don't share any of your opinions on this.

In contrast, this is how I see it: Goff shows signs of coming through AND that's mixed in with rookie struggles, and those rookie struggles are amplified by the fact that he comes from an Air Raid and has a lot more to learn than most college qbs.

So I am personally patient with the guy and I certainly don't leap to any conclusions about his coaching.
