It's funny, when I was posting that Kronke was going to move, that the St. Louis stadium was doomed, that there was no way the NFL was going with a stadium in Carson when Kroenke was building an NFL Resort complex, all the posters wondered why I love Stan so much. Now I hate him, I guess. I have trouble keeping track of my feelings.
I don't care about Stan, either. I was a Rams' fan when Dan Reeves owned the team, when Rosenbloom owned it, when Frontiere owned it, and now. I am interested in ownership only insofar as how it affects what I root for on the field.
I am not trying to trash him. I think he's okay as an owner. I think he DOES want to win.
I have only been arguing in this particular thread that he cares more about his empire than he does about winning. He wants to win, but he is not a Cuban, DeBartolo, or Steinbrenner. Or like the Dodgers owners.
That doesn't even concern me, though, because with a salary cap, I don't worry about winning coming in conflict with his profits.
So, really, my ONLY point in this thread is that Kroenke doesn't lavish money around. He is a sound businessman. That is all.
And I don't know why this is such a difficult perspective to convey without it being twisted into something else.
