Okay, well, now we are into the mind-reading portion of the debate, and that's where I bow out.
I can just say that there is no instance of Kroenke ever lavishing out money on his front office, and his general philosophy has been to employ young up-and-comers in management rather than hiring tried-and-true (expensive) people. His opening up his wallet for Boudreau, Williams, etc. is out of character, and he may just look at that as an expensive failure. We don't know.
But, again, his track record suggests he will not overpay.
Wanna see if we can catch the Rams in SF next year? I imagine tickets will not be hard to find.

He will not see it as "overpaying" - because the long-term happiness of his new fanbase inspired by what they see as the "best" new hire will ultimately line his pockets even more.
He will pay whatever it takes - even what looks like a bloated salary coach-wise.
Harbaugh is a @#$@, so I hope it isn't him.
But hey, I survived four and a half years of rooting for Fisher the mediocre deadbeat against my every instinct.
This team cannot crush my spirit any further.
