What if Fisher did sign an extension early in season, as was reported.
It means his contract just cannot expire, at end of season. So there will be a huge buyout on a contract that was signed just a few months ago.
Will Stan blow that kind of money?
I don't know if extension was signed, but it seemed like a done deal...then came the 28-0 debacle in week 1 and more of those, and there was never a good time to announce it.
So, that is why.
If there was not extension signed.. then that is a whole different animal
IF it was signed early (pre-season) they had the perfect time to announce it when they beat Arians in the desert and were 3-1 and Jeffy exclaimed "The rams are back!"
Would have been the perfect time to make your splash...
They did not.
So to ME there is hope it never happened.
But we shall see.
