Fisher saying he wanted to make it a 2 score game is utter nonsense. It was already a "2 score game" as in 7 and 3. But if the dolphins scored 2 tds, well you know how it would end, regardless of the FG.
the FG only protected against the dolphins getting a TD and trying for 2 FGs. This possibility was already eliminated by the time left. So, what needed to be protected against was the fins getting 2 TDs.
How do you do that? You get a goddamned first down. By kicking right there instead of going for it, you guarantee no more than 4 seconds are taken off the clock before the dolphins get the ball again.
Have you guys seen this team try to run the ball lately??? Or even throw or catch for that matter???
Fisher can't win here....had he gone for it and they got stuffed he would have been crucified for going for it.....guarantee
Bottom line to me is that kick has to be made.... 3-4 inches to the right and it goes in....and IMO wins the game.
Not defending Fish, he has to go, but to me he can't win either way if and when his players let him down.
