along with failures Snead and GW....they all underachieved!!!
Bad drafts and avg defense that shows up some games and not others outside our division.
Rarely do new HCs keep past appts...they like "their own" guys there....
and Stan is a hands off owner (imo) and apt to give any new HC(especially a BIG hire which is what everyone wants) his own autonomy.
So, you're unhappy with the job Demoff has done, Sun? I'm sure not.
I think he's handled contracts and the cap brilliantly.
And there's little to criticize about the move negotiations and execution, either.
His selection of Fisher seemed solid at the time. Just what the doctor ordered for that dysfunctional team, it seemed. He didn't anticipate that Fisher could never get us over 7 wins, but nobody else saw that coming, either. Including yours truly.
I think Demoff/Fisher hit a triple with the Snead choice, if not a HR. Yeah, remember that Fisher had final approval on the Snead hire.
As for GW? Well, remember that GW is Fisher's 2nd DC and has only been here for 3 years. Incidentally, GW was hired by Fisher, not Demoff. Besides, I think he's done a pretty good job, especially with so little help from Fisher's annual pathetic O's.
To summarize:
Demoff and Snead sure look like keepers to me.
Fisher has been an epic fail on O, and there's no logical reason to believe that he would be any different in a 6th year. I'm done with Fisher. He's already had 5 "second chances".
