There is a high probability that Goff doesn't shine the rest of the way and the Rams finish with another losing recored.
To then extend Fisher after his poor performance the past 5 years will have the fans and media bashing the Rams and Kroenke unmercifully.
Kroenke said at the ground breaking that ultimately we are all paid to perform. He was referring to Donald and Goff at the time he said that, but you could easily extend that to his views on Fisher.
Fisher has not performed to expectations. As VinnyB said 99% of the fans think that and don't want him back.
If Kroenke brings Fisher back after another poor performance he may be faced with firing him mid-season which is never a good thing to set yourself up for.
I think Goff will have to drive a truck over the Rams coaching, as Vermeil would say, to show that he can play. If he does that he may save Fisher's job for another year, but I think it would be a mistake. I'm hoping that Kroenke is smarter than that and that he has Demoff in HC search mode right now. I think the fact that Kroenke had Aaron Donald at the ground breaking but not Fisher says something about Fisher's status for next year.
