Roman 18 brought this up in a closed thread
"We have no draft picks next season...our ability to improve is going to have to come from the coaching side....they don't cost or use picks.....just money..I don't think your coaches are part of your roster as far as cap space goes...."
I thought it was illustrative
The club didn't have the fuel to fill this year with the trade up for Goff.
Will be hamstrung again next year with fewer draft picks. (btw, the key to the Les and Jeff era has been to get better by draft, so....it does dizzy)
thus, Roman's remark sticks for me. They will have to rely on development and coaching to improve, and make the playoffs.
Whether the coaching staff stays or goes, it will be on that staff to make good with the "ingredients" they have. Sure, it's not as though we have no picks next year, but getting high impact out of rookies is always challenging. And again, that's on the coaches to get youngsters ready to play. And will the Rams still have youngest squad on the field next season?
So, can 2017's coaching staff propagate the talent they have on this roster and make it a winner?

Not having a first round pick sucks, but my god saying we have NO picks next year is hyperbolic nonsense.
