We do seem to be overpaying a few guys. Tavon looks to be one of them. He's being paid like a game-changer and hasn't really shown much more than flashes of that over the last couple years. When's the last time he ran a drag route and busted it for a huge gain / touchdown? They don't seem to be doing too many of the jet sweeps anymore - every once in a while he'd break one of those. They don't even seem to run him on deep go routes, etc. At least threaten to take the top off the D.
If Tavon is truly a threat in every phase of the game - how are similar players with similar production being paid? Is Brandin Cooks a comp? What about Cordarelle Patterson? Jeremy Maclin?
