I think this is why whenever Goff does come in I think it could help the running game more so than the passing game. Is Goff going to come in and have a better than 75.4 QB rating this year? Maybe, but honestly I doubt it. I DO think, though, that defenses will back off the LOS a bit more because he'll use more of the field.

Plus like you said the view of a rookie with a 75.4 QB rating will be different than a 5th year QB.

I'm not advocating that Goff take over yet. Just saying when he does....
