Proving to be a solid 1a qb. Not quite starter material but very good backup. Will make himself some money this year. Streaky passer, nice long thrower, probably accurate to 40 yds deep. Will force the ball sometimes instead of going to next read. StArting to take advantage of the short to intermediate middle which allows him to throw the ball on a line instead of forcing it outside where his ball floats.
Tough guy, good teammate. I really like him even though I wish he wasn't starting.
I will do THIS routine again.
The offense began the season out of sync, probably for a combination of reasons---teams rarely play well after a move (look at the history), they changed the offense more than we thought at first (which means thinking more than just playing), and Boras had never installed an offense before.
That made the SF game a mess. BUT they improved after it, and even in a lot of ways BECAUSE of it (eg. players only meeting, looking in the mirror, etc.)
So how has Keenum done SINCE that game? Using qb rating as the measure. The idea being that the offense began the season out of sync but then worked through it.
Since SF, he has averaged 95.6.
And so far we have this.
When Keenum has a qb rating of 80 or better, the Rams are 4-1.
When he has a qb rating under that, the Rams are 2-4.
