On the long catch by Austin, it wasn't clear to me that the ball hit the ground. He had it in his hands. The ball bounced upward when Austin hit the ground, but did the ball hit the ground or was it a result of his hands hitting the ground? I couldn't tell, but it was reviewed correctly since there apparently wasn't sufficient evidence to overturn it. I would be the last person to go out of my way to defend Fisher, but it is possible that, from his vantage point down on the field, he could see that the ball didn't touch the ground. If so, I can't blame him for challenging it since he may have hoped that one of the cameras would show what he saw.
Exactly, and when your player is telling you it was a catch you back him up. Had they called that a catch on the field it would have stood... IMO.
I don't have an issue with the challenges, it's the one that he didn't challenge that bothered me. It was 3rd and long and Palmer hit brown on the sideline that looked very close and cards ran up to the line to get the next play off in a hurry cuz they knew it wasn't a catch, but Fish let it go.
Either way, we still had a time out in our pocket at the end of the game, so this is all meaningless complaints. Coulda shoulda woulda...... Is he perfect? No!!! Is he 3-1? Yup
