I feel all those things as well. There ARE problems and not just little nagging stuff either.

At the same time... when I watch them play, see the moments of very good football both from 'team' standpoint and an individual player standpoint.... I can't help but thinking they are 'close', and I really believe that's more than an emotional response.

From the outside - reading comments, watching how they approach games, the sense of urgency on the field, it seems to me, I think much like you, that they simply are not facing some 'facts' and being strong enough to admit mistakes and bad judgements - and that if they would only 'admit' it then things 'might' get better. And I do not mean admitting it to me, or you, but to themselves.

I hear their words... and if only that is considered then one might conclude they are doing just that... but then I watch them play and their actions, to me, do not match their words.

I think the QB position is the major problem right now... and this beyond the 'individual'. It's not 'just' Keenum, although he's certainly a major player in this. Not having a quality QB it seems to me they are allowing that fact to color their decisions, game planning, in a manner that is self-defeating to the entire team. The theme of 'waiting', said both aloud and insinuated, seems to have taken such a hold on them, restricting them, that they have lost sight of the 'big picture'. And I'm not referring ONLY to Goff here.... in fact, even if Goff is all we hope he is unless other things are set in order it's going to be a bumpy ride. My hope is that Goff, or Mannion, would 'spark' that... but I don't know, and it worries me.

Again, I think they are close... but there needs to be a 'culture' change, if you will. It seems to me Fisher, and not merely his 'words', is resisting that with a vengeance... I do NOT think, it can't happen. - JamesJM
