I don't look at it that way though. I see that after 2 games they aren't yet back to being as decently effective as they were in the last 4 games of 2015.
So it gets down to beliefs. Not to put words in your mouth but you seem to be saying that the last 2 games show us what we have and that's the way it is. In contrast I believe the last 2 games are a bad departure from where they already were at the end of last year and I expect them to get back to at least that level.
I've used this example before but here goes again. Notice that no one is saying look at Gurley in the last 2 games...he doesn't have it, he can't run in the NFL, he's not producing, what happened. People just have faith he will get it back. Well, I am that way with the entire offense.
Which one of us is right? Well who knows yet. But until we do know, it's all just how we tend to see things.
And besides if Goff can do what Keenum did in the 1st game then he's not ready and shouldn't be starting. If he could do what Keenum did in the 2nd game he would be closer to ready. Either way, I have no complaint about the principle...don't start him until he's ready. That's fine with me. The logic being this. Keenum has shown the offense can do better than it has with him in there. The history of starting rookie qbs is that they lose games far (far, far) more often than not. So to me if they're starting Goff before he's ready then they have decided to accept the losing.
