Unless you have a dump truck public defender attorney and even most of those would win too.
Bet you he hires Lawrence Taylor (no joke duicentral.com). This guy is god when it comes to DUI defense.
Too easy to get a forensic toxicologist or other expert to say the crappy driving was actually not the result of drugs but x,y,z.
Seriously, no way to win these. Because there really isn't an objective measure (like .08 BAC) to know if a person is driving under the influence of drugs.
No chance of a conviction for DUI.
Prediction, "reckless" driving type plea, no jail time, plus fine.
Agree completely, first there has to be criteria to determine impairment, AFAIK nothing about non alcohol type DUI has been defined, re: BAC. I guess an officer could determine too impaired to operate a motor vehicle with the existing roadside tests', but who knows how that would stand up in the courtroom.
IMO the most important thing as far as the Rams are concerned shouldn't be whether he's found guilty in a court of law, but this is a continuation of more of the same old same old, as far as the FO and ownership putting up with off the field stuff like this.
It's different if it's a star QB, RB, an integral part of a winning team, today the Rams have no such player. To start becoming a winning organization they need to cut him and move on. Look at other winning organizations, they don't put up with non football related, off the field crap like this.
