You missed one very important point.

They gave up 2 first rounders, 2 second rounders, and 2 third rounder to get Goff.

That's a huge amount of draft capital to give up and then say so what.

If we didn't make the trade we could have drafted a CB, WR, and Safety in the 1st and 2nd round this year who could be quality contributors right now.

Goff needs to be good enough to cover that loss.
