But it's kind of like they're grooming you to pay more in the future. I went from $35/mo to $125 in 3 years. After the sticker shock I was able to compose myself and call them and politely ask the wtf happened to my bill? So they reduced it to $80 but that was the "best they could do". But I think they want to keep most people subscribed so they can raise their rates on them unwittingly. And I'm sure it's written somewhere but no one ever told me what I paid $35/mo for would eventually be $125. I guess their plan is to make some money off the people who just accept it. Idk.
Any, short of a miracle, I am happy to ditch dtv. It's just simply not worth it to me, even with NFL Ticket.
I got NFL game pass for $99 and Netflix. I work on Sunday's so I never get to see the games anyway. I almost never watch TV anyway and what I do watch I wouldn't pay dtv prices for. I am happy with my $10/mo bill and I still get to watch all the games without commercials... albeit not live.
I called to find out when my subscription ends and got the retention department. Out of the blue the guy said I can't give you NFL ticket for free but he said he could discount it. I told him it was my intention to cancel either way. He said to call back and talk to them again the week before my subscription ends.
I'm sure they look at me as the sucker who pays $80 for their service (it's the middle of the road package, no premiums etc) so I'm sure I am the kind of customer they want.
