I'm not sure how making multiple calls and busting your azz to get a discount when you have spent thousands of dollars with a company = having to love this country.
They are using sophisticated manipulative procedures to ensure they get as many people as possible paying the 'full' amount.
The reality is they give a percentage of people a 'deal' hoping they will feel clever and the rest won't notice.
But there is no 'deal' really.
You can get the movie channels for half price and 'save' a lot more than RFIP did anytime after 6 months having a 'deal' before.
Why?
Because the cost of sale is zero to them when you start to scale.
I'm using all these apostrophes because this is just a game. They prey heavily on making people feel they got a great 'deal' whilst still paying them a small fortune.
It's behavioral psychology 101 - make people think they got a great deal and then pick their pocket.
BTW, I got a good 'deal' this year, but I'm not kidding myself I didn't get what thousands of others got.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
