IMO Stan the man had more of his hand in drafting Goff than any of us have thought. I think it makes sense that moving to L.A. he wanted to make a big splash on the PR front. What better way than to obtain the number one choice and select a golden blond handsome and pretty good qb from California-the most prominant position on a football team.When Snead and Fisher said wait a minute we have to give up all these draft choices he easily could have said: "look I'm focusing on Inglewood and by then we will have our choices back and Goff will be ready" I'm not too concerned for this year or the next" To me that's not an altogether impossible scenario.
They've already said this pick was more about the long term success rather then success in 2016.
This pick wasn't about the next 16 weeks, it was about the next 16 years.
Agreed. If Goff sits this year and starts next year Rams are still in the good.
