For starters like some have already mentioned... (Team Weinke and Boras)
Playbook size and length of verbiage was beyond JG's capacity from the get go..... When did they decide to Dumb it Down after how many OTA's and or practices? Wrist band playbook? Did Goff have an ego and say no to the wristband offer? Did they even give him an option to say no if they did recommend one?
You act like things like that were the only valid option.
How about this instead. They said they were going to be patient with him and they were.
So they didn't dumb things down for the rookie which you're right is what a lot of teams who start rookie qbs are forced to do.
But then...why would they? If their goal was different from that of a fan who is just eager for the kid to start now.
Their goal was to not scale anything back and win now with the guys they already had. At least until Goff can absorb all that stuff.
Where is it written in gold on stone that only one of those ways is viable.
They're both valid approaches...impatient fans just want one not the other. That's all it amounts to.
Me? I am in for the decade. I assume Goff will start sooner rather than later and will play for a decade, at least. I am both in for the decade and okay about them doing the "dumb it down for him" fast start. I don't assume that way is bad coaching, I just think some fans like one way better than the other.
