I agree

Now I am sure there is someone on this board who knows exactly how many passes Austin caught at or near the LOS but I don't. It seems like it was most of his catches. It also seems that he had to instantly elude 2 or 3 defenders if he wasn't tackled by the first guy. To that end, to me, its just another running play.

However, adding the fact that Keenum can't see, and possibly can't effectively throw the ball long enough with any consistency, I'm not sure anyone will take Tavon seriously as a downfield threat.

They need to get his yards per pass higher but, I don't know how they do it. Teams are just waiting on those short passes and that's basically what they assign him. Maybe when Goff gets in there or Mannion or whoever can see him, they can do something different.

If he catches 100 passes there are a lot of 220b defenders licking their chops to knock the crap out of a 180 pound guy who has to focus on catching a pass... Austin knows he has to make his move immediately or the play won't be successful.

Anyway, I think I am looking forward to the Rams doing something better with Austin this season. They tried last season with Foles but despite Austin being open, sometimes wide open, the passes were always woefully off the mark. And then Keenum came in and those stopped. IIRC. Maybe Groh has it figured out... I hope that is the case... no pun intended.

How do Austin's 10 TDs rank among skill positions?

Kind of Blue/Gold1019August 29, 2016 10:44AM

on how many touches?....vs. everyone else?

I don't think his contract needs justifying IMO

If you factor in that Gurley didn't have Austin's 8.3 Y/A average

  Bingo...

  The conclusion is irrefutable

By this rationale, the conclusion is irrefutable that Gurley didn't help the offense

How much will top tier WRs be making in 2018? 2019? 2020? 2021? N/M
