It doesn't mean the Rams made a mistake with Goff. But......only time will tell. Right now it's all speculation.
Only time will tell.
However, for me... as I watched this playout all of last season, reading about NFL prospects leading up to the draft, it went from... No QB is worthy of a top 10-15 draft spot, to all of a sudden Wentz and Goff being head and shoulders above everyone else, and were the most complete, "Pro-Ready" QB's and should go 1 & 2. Now, I'm not a college scout/draft guru like some we have on this board.... and we do have some of the best. But it just struck me as strange when I read up on all of the QB's and watched some of their play, that Goff and Wentz would end up as the clear #1a & 1b. I don't know what's going on with Wentz other than he's injured, but you can really see some of the issues with Jared... and not having taken snaps under center, and not playing in a pro-style offense, and not having called plays in a huddle have had an impact on his development up to this point. So for the draft guru's on the board, how does that translate in being the most "Pro-Ready" QB in the draft? I don't get it...
