I know he missed a year due to injury (he was having a pretty good year that year, too), but come on... this is year 5 and Quick still looks like a rookie. A few years ago, I remember Isaac Bruce coming to training camp and working with the wide receivers. Isaac worked a ton with Quick. He's got all the tangibles but the guy seems slow (in the head) to me and seems to require a lot of one-on-one instruction, remediation, and repetition. Having Bruce around really seemed to help him, but then he got hurt and he's right back where he started. There are no wide receivers on the team anymore of the Holt/Bruce caliber... not in personality, work ethic, performance, maturity, or experience. Who are the youngsters supposed to emulate when there's no one there to model after? It's a problem and it will continue to be one. In the meantime, I think it's time to cut bait with Quick and move on.
