I don't get why they care if he's 330-340 or 322. If he cab stop the DE from hitting the QB and he cab knock bodies out of the way for TG30 I know I'm happy. If he's gained muscle he'll weigh more. Muscle weighs more than fat. And I agree 10 to 15 pounds on his body is nearly nothing. I was thrilled we drafted him and still am. You have to remember the plan was to start at LG for a season or two before taking over LT. Then, Long got hurt. He was thrown into the fire and was very raw.
Almost should throw out his rookie year entirely. Last year was his real rookie year and he struggled for the first 12 games. He looked strong down the stretch. He's worked very hard this off season to improve and looks like he is finally ready. He is still super young and HOF talented. Tre Mason had a bazillion yards running behind him at Auburn and Gurley is much better. Sit back and enjoy the show. After this season, I expect the re-drafters to put AD first and GRob second. Les will look like a genius. BTW, how about extending Snead? Hate to lose this guy.
