A WR needs to get open to draw a throw. Not sure I saw a wide open Quick being overlooked.
That's the thing with our WRs. (Not talking about slots) Neither Quick nor Britt have ever proven that they can consistently get separation on the perimeter. And that's why our passing game is so moribund.
Not because we don't complete enough bombs.
But because we cannot stress the defense at the medium level, 10-20 yards up field: on the sidelines and across the middle. When defenses don't have to worry about the medium zones, they can jam the LOS.
Put Ike or Torry in there, and they would draw the ball. Targets would come their way because they earned them.
