"Best way to learn, be out there."

Not necessarily. If there's missed blocking assignments, missed play calling, any number of things and the qb gets pounded and pounded -well not much learning in that other than "hey I hate this". OTOH this kid is going to be with us a long time and given what we gave up for him I doubt they want to chance anything with him. He will be special. This team is very competitive right now with Keenum. He doesn't make mistakes and showed us last year he can beat really good team. So why take any risks with your future franchise player? it's not like the Rams are so bad they really have no choice but to play him. They are lucky to have good alternatives with Keenum.

Fans are fans and they all want to win today and play their best players today even if they may not be ready. Sometimes just to see the player on the field. That's natural .But sitting on the bench can be an extremely good learning environment. Especially when you already have a competitive team and a winning qb.

IMO I say wait until he's thoroughly vetted and ready and then step on the throttle.
