I want the QB to start who will give us the best chance to win immediately.
If Keenum starts, but Goff keeps picking things up in practice, and in a few games is ready to start, fine.
But asking a rookie QB to pick up an entire playbook and all the vagaries of NFL play in a matter of a few practices after college is asking a great deal. I don't care how high he's picked.
I don't want to sacrifice any games for the sake of giving Goff snaps if we have another QB that is playing at a higher level for the moment.
That said, if Goff is about even with the Keenum for game 1, play Goff.
My bet is that Goff starts game 1. He looked awfully good to me against Dallas despite what some of the stuff that some of the journalists said. Frankly, I'm not sure what they were watching. All but one throw was right on the mark.
