Which brings up another point. Unlike the Rams defense in that game, which was vanilla and all about finding out who to cut and who to keep, the Dallas defense ran all sorts of things at the Rams.
And you can bet the farm the Rams OL did not prep for that. They just went out and executed their plays. There was no prep to watch for stunts, delayed blitzes, and fake blitzes etc.
What that means is that Dallas gave the Rams OL...and qb...some valuable film to study.
Meanwhile the Rams D was not doing anything remotely like that to Dallas.

Those are all good points.
But I wonder how much the Rams gain by not spicing things up on defense. It's not like they have any magic plays that no one has ever seen before. Williams has been doing this stuff for years. And it may be a good idea to try some stuff out and actually practice it so its working by the first game.
