Mannion.. I have never seen such an overwhelmingly universal criticism as I have about about him... he's slow in delivery. I just do not see that, (granted, everyone else seeing it and not me does not bode well for my opinion)... with his experience level I see no difference between him and nearly every other QB, good starting QB's, that has ever played the game. Being more clear - I do not think his release is 'quick', but I do think it's apt for his stage of progress.
Taking issue with:
Preseason wins mean nothing. Technically yeah, no doubt about it. But football isn't won by 'tech' alone. That was huge for the crowd. I believe it's meaningful to the players as well.... winning begets winning, even in preseason.
Going into a preseason game with the attitude that 'winning or losing is absolutely irrelevant' is holding this team back, IMHO. The Patriots can get away with that... GB, some others... but the Ram's need that will to win which they have not come close to attaining in years. It's a 'wait wait wait', (even if logical), thing that seems to me a plague for this team. - JamesJM
