I believe Gaines was held out, so that's why you didn't see much.
I agree about Spruce and Higbee; all they did was to do what we were told they were doing in camp. That is an excellent sign.
I think Spruce may already be our best WR; no worse than 2nd best behind Britt. And Higbee? The guy is going to get at least 45 catches this year if he stays healthy. Hard to guard and the guy makes plays.
I think it's important for the Rams to "win" preaseason games. They need to believe that winning EVERY game is important; enough of Fisher's moral victories and "we lost but we're improving" speeches. They need to be angry when they lose.....ever.
I think Mannion is being overlooked. Again, it was one game and it was with the 2's and the 3's. But the ball couldn't have been thrown much better; he threw to the right guy (as much as one can tell on a TV screen and without knowing the play), played within himself and looked like an NFL QB. Night and day from year 1.
If this continues, I suspect we'll see 2016 as Keenum's last year with the Rams and the Rams QB tandem for the foreseeable future as Goff and Mannion.
I liked the way Goff was constantly looking down the field to make a play. That throw to Cooper (that he dropped) was a thing of beauty. Like a dart.
