I have little doubt the "I'm not going 7-9 again" rant is something he's repeated several times by now over the years. He's had plenty of opportunities and it was extremely reminiscent of the halftime shows he puts on for the cameras after the team comes back out onto the field. As if he didn't just have a full halftime with the team in private to do that. He is definitely back in the right town now as Fisher has always been showbiz. And yeah, it does appear the coaching staff in general goes for that showy bravado thing. It does not feel authentic to me. I wonder how it comes across to the players who are in it every day?
The most troubling thing about the sunrise thing to me is that Goff is a person who has lived on Earth for over 20 years now who apparently has never thought to ask and answer that question for himself. Even granting that it is consistent with the theory and criticism that the public edumacation system has long been more interested in teaching people what to think rather than how to think, it's still not a comfortable thought that the guy the team invested that much into to rescue the offense and front the franchise lacks such fundamental intellectual curiosity.
