For sharing your takes on this episode, interesting for sure!
I think Fisher is indeed a little put out and hurt by the 7-9 record and that being who he is. I am sure it eats at him.
I believe him when he says it, I believe that he knows that is the perception and very close to the reality of him as a coach. He has won in the NFL and won in the playoffs. But you are what your record says you are. Fisher needs a nice run of winning seasons here to solidify him as the Rams coach. I am pulling for him and think he is the right guy for the team and job....I am praying at this point, I really like his coaching style.....but he needs to get the O going and stay hands off.
I like Boras and I like the Groh hiring, smart by CJF imo.
Is it fair? IDK...but he is above 500 for his career but not with the Rams. Time to turn that around, I also think he is right... The team is too talented to settle for that cruddy record again. I also believe he knows what he is doing and what he is talking about.
Can he get the Rams to quit stumbling in games they should win? Can he stop the ups and downs of this team? That is his challenge and ultimately the reason he will make it to a nice fat extension or the reason he doesn't make it to another season.
